One of the things that stood out for me in the explanation of the difference between a professed god versus a functional god, it stated, "a professed god is who or what we say our god is; a functional god is who or what actually operates as our god". This is going to be a great Bible study!
We have been challenged with a memory verse:
Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, and to make you stand in the presence of His glory blameless with great joy, to the only God our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen.
