East Lounge – Williamsburg Inn
What an honor to attend the surprise 50th wedding anniversary luncheon for Eric's parents, James and Jane on this past Saturday. Fifty years of marriage! The happy couple had no idea of what was planned for them, they were told that the family would be going on the Spirit of Norfolk, little did they know Julie and Eric had planned a grand celebration with around fifty family and friends at the Williamsburg Inn. They thought they got all dressed up to have lunch on the Spirit of Norfolk, but never questioned Lindsay as she drove them to Williamsburg instead of Norfolk!They didn't figure out what was going on until Jane saw her aunt Mary Jane when they walked in. We were all surprised that no one slipped the secret, one of Jane's friends said she stopped calling Jane because she knew she would tell everything she knew, and decided not to even answer any of Jane's calls!
My sister-in-law Julie is an excellent party planner and did a wonderful job planning and organizing everything from Japan! I asked Eric what his part was and he said to show up, and read the Scriptures Julie told him to read. Here are a few pictures I took, and the slide show presentation put together by Julie, she also did the programs and if I figure our how to post that I will. Enjoy!

I love reading about marriages that beat the odds. I pray that my beloved and I will be blessed to see our 50th anniversary and beyond.
